Andy Carvin

Reported.ly: Global News In The Age Of Social
23:51 / 8. december 2015

Foredraget er optaget i forbindelse med F:ACT CONFERENCE - New Media, New Journalism afholdt d. 13. november, 2015 under CPH:DOX.

Andy Carvin is founder and editor-in-chief at First Look Media’s reported.ly. Prior to First Look, Andy was senior strategist at NPR’s social media desk, where he led NPR’s efforts to integrate social media into the newsroom. Since 2006, Andy has pioneered NPR’s use of Twitter and Facebook in its reporting, most notably during the Arab Spring, during which he used social media to become a virtually embedded reporter among revolutionary groups. Collaborating with his tens of thousands of Twitter followers, he broke news from across the region, debunked rumors and authenticated footage.

This talk was recorded as a part of F:ACT CONFERENCE - New Media, New Journalism held on November 13, 2015 during CPH:DOX.
